The waterline has risen above my head. I do not want learning, dignity, or respectability. I just want to see more clearly under water.

It Won't Stop Raining
Its been pouring rain for 2 days now, and everything is wet to the core. The leak in my roof, while small, is starting to worry me again. I wanted with color and marks to get a sense of what the unending torrential downpour feels like.
Catherine, the first thing I saw in this before I read your statement is a roof (the square, at first I thought maybe it was a shed or the porch again). A real weighed down feeling in those trees, and of nature being so much bigger than us (the scale of the block).
It does seem weighted down with no relief in sight. Thats pretty much how I felt. I like connecting the small drawing to real events happening in my life. How much further away from "high art" could I get?
