These last dozen or so seem like the plant life is trying to take root in rocks, the torn paper shapes, the lines are the roots. Just an idea. Maybe you are unconsciously thinking Utah. I can sense the struggle and anticipation of the upcoming change. Stream of consciousness painting is great for you because there is no time to think trough the thoughts, so they bypass and go straight from the subconscious to the paper.
You're right. Thats dead on. Academic art is very intellectual. Its easy to fool oneself into believing that the idea is really a feeling. Art is "feeling" language and like so much else in this society we have bypassed feeling in favor of intellect. This is my private rebellion against the system, and since you have been doing my thinking for me I haven't had to really worry about it and I can just do the work.
