The Secret Life of Trees


These trees are in my backyard and as I sketched they seemed to be peering directly back at me. Our gaze met, and it was the strangest feeling.

    You said it, Meg. The trees do have a life of their own.. This has a lot of movement, and you can see all the elements of life in it...sprouts, root hairs, moss, fading leaves, wind and water...
