Sunset

Painting sunsets are a taboo mostly in the rarified art world. Hard to paint a fresh sunset, something past the cliche we are used to. I won't claim any success with that but sunsets are seductively beautiful and can be easily painted by anyone with a few colorful strokes. It's fun. I guess I am firmly back on earth.

The World is a Spinning Disc

The world is a spinning disc on a wobbling stick.
I destroyed this in a fit of rage. It wasn't what I wanted at the time, but adapted a little it's pretty strong. Beware of tearing up your work too soon. Sometimes too, the photographic image is better than the original. That is the case here.
Happy Birthday Ken.
