The waterline has risen above my head. I do not want learning, dignity, or respectability. I just want to see more clearly under water.

Winter Is Coming In All Kinds Of Ways
The thought of winter sends a chill through my bones. This new winter may settle permanently in my heart.

Mango
Mango is a Sun Conure, not the easiest parrot to deal with. Every once and a while I would like to feed her to the Crocodiles.
Here she is sitting on a flower and looking into the sunlight thinking up new ways to torture me.

Solitude And Healing
My hope for Josh is for rapid recovery, healing of mind, body, and spirit. May doors open to a new and fruitful life.

Desert Fire
For Josh.
I live in the desert and sometimes it is ferocious. Afganistan in particular is unforgiving. This is how I think it must feel.

What Can I Ever Say?
Today a young marine was badly injured in Afganistan.
There is no way to ever express a certain kind of grief and pain. The feeling is just too strong.
This series is dedicated to Josh Langston White and his family.

Blackwater
Reptiles have a certain intense mentality. We have a "reptile" brain too in with the other parts. I wonder what exactly we have in common with them.
I will be back with more Crocodiles soon. These are large drawings and take more than a day to finish.

White Croc Waiting
The "Croc" is my first large drawing in a while. One of a short series I hope. It is on 140lb Arches watercolor paper and measures 5'x 4'. It seems there is danger in the water. Maybe a reptilian inhabited land.
